Routzahn's currently operates a showroom in Frederick, Maryland. Routzahn's is associated with several national buying groups that enable us to purchase the name brand furniture, appliances and electronics that our customers desire. Our large warehouse, distribution and service facility ensure that we can stock and deliver your merchandise in an efficient and timely manner, and service all of your appliance and electronics needs.

Western Maryland's Largest Independent Retailer was founded in 1954, when Allen Routzahn began selling appliances door to door in Frederick, MD. He would sell appliances to customers out of a catalog and deliver them himself. Several months after he began his business, Allen opened his first appliance store at 53 South Market Street in Frederick. As his business grew, he added furniture, televisions and department stores. In 1957 he moved the business to 26 East Patrick Street where it operated for 30 years before moving to the current showroom on Route 26 and Routzahn's Way.

In 1987, Allen retired and his son Daryl Routzahn became President and CEO. Daryl purchased the business from his Dad in 1989, and has concentrated the company's focus on furniture, appliances and electronics.
